Our exhibition at Sol Collective in 2017 was a show of artists from around the U.S. showing work around the theme of sisters. Artists in the show were Itzel Alejandra Martinez, Maribel Falcón, Lauren Trejo, Barbara Calderón, Crystal Galindo, Destiny Mata, Cynthia Treviño, Lexx Valdez, Yaza Nadïs, Xochi Solis, Mercedes Zapata, Margot Terc, Rebel Betty, Yadira Cazares, Nisha Kaur Sethi, Mereya Lachel Goetzinger-Blanco, Alex Martinez, and Suzy Gonzalez.
Cósmica: An Art Show
Cósmica: An Art Show was our inaugural exhibit as a collective and marked the creation of Colectiva Cósmica on August 15, 2014. It featured Cósmica artists April Ibarra Siqueiros, Barbara Calderón, Itzel Alejandra, and Maribel Falcón with contributing artists Jessica Villarreal, Lauren Trejo, Nevena Dzamonja, Natalia Linares, Nina Parks, and bruja. The show drew inspiration from our ancestors, rituals, borderlands, Chicana artists of the 70s, Latin American political history, and one other.
